📍 Location: Toronto / GTA
📅 12 Months Contract
🔁 Extension / FTE Conversion: Possible based on performance and business needs
💰 Rate: $68–$70/hr incorporated + HST

I’m currently hiring for a strong Regulatory Compliance / Governance Analyst with deep experience supporting technology, access management, data protection, audit, and information governance initiatives within a regulated financial services environment.

What you’ll be doing:
✅ Interpret regulatory, audit, and corporate policy requirements related to technology, IAM, data protection, and governance
✅ Monitor regulatory changes and communicate compliance risks to senior stakeholders
✅ Translate control requirements into detailed business, governance, and system requirements
✅ Conduct regulatory/control gap assessments and track remediation plans to closure
✅ Define audit evidence requirements and coordinate with cross-functional teams
✅ Maintain documentation, traceability matrices, risk registers, SOPs, and evidence logs
✅ Support internal/external audits, regulatory reviews, and audit closure packages
✅ Partner with Security, IAM, Privacy, Data Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams

Must-have experience:
🔹 8+ years supporting regulatory compliance, audits, and governance within technology or data protection initiatives
🔹 Financial services / banking experience
🔹 Strong experience interpreting legislation, policies, and control frameworks
🔹 5+ years maintaining compliance documentation, SOPs, requirement registers, and evidence logs
🔹 Strong requirements analysis and audit requirements gathering experience
🔹 Ability to influence without authority across technology, security, and governance teams
🔹 Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Jira
Ideal candidate:

Someone who has worked on large regulatory programs, understands audit expectations, can own their work independently, and is highly detail-oriented when it comes to documentation, evidence, controls, and remediation tracking.
