Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Manager – Banking/PMP. This position involves leading large-scale projects within the banking sector, focusing on regulatory system modernization and enterprise transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery, coordinate diverse teams, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr – $86.96/hr
Responsibilities:
Define and develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets
Manage and track project budgets and expenses to ensure cost control
Lead and oversee project teams, including direct reports, contractors, and matrixed personnel
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive sponsors
Facilitate risk assessments and proactively address potential project risks and issues
Develop, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing plans and rollout procedures
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and gather detailed business requirements
Lead the delivery of high-quality software solutions ensuring they meet business needs
Prepare and deliver presentations to steering committees and project sponsors
Manage project procurement, staffing, and resource allocation
Ensure the application of project management best practices and compliance with organizational standards
Monitor project performance and take corrective actions to keep projects on track
Desired Skill-Set:
Proven experience leading technology implementation projects within banking or financial services
Strong understanding of both business processes and technology delivery
Experience managing regulatory systems or compliance initiatives
Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent project management tools
Familiarity with delivery frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Prior experience managing RAID logs, risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
8-10 years of relevant project management experience
Nice to Have:
PMP or PMI certification
Prior experience working on regulatory projects or initiatives
