Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Application Support Analyst – Capital Markets. This position offers an opportunity to support critical collateral management and derivatives applications within a dynamic Capital Markets environment. The successful candidate will partner with traders, development teams, project stakeholders, and business users to ensure smooth application operations and incident resolution.

Pay rate range (CAD): $43.48/hr – $52.17/hr

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve application incidents promptly to minimize impact on trading operations
Troubleshoot, monitor, and support batch processing systems using AutoSys or comparable tools
Perform root cause analysis and log analysis to identify recurring issues and improve system stability
Escalate complex technical issues to relevant teams and coordinate resolution efforts
Support weekend deployments and perform post-deployment reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance and stability
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for application support processes
Assist in onboarding new applications and support transition activities
Document issues, solutions, and support procedures for future reference
Desired Skill-Set

5+ years of application and production support experience in financial services
Proven experience in a Capital Markets environment, specifically with derivatives trading
Strong troubleshooting skills and incident management experience
Proficiency with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL databases
Knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft technologies
Experience with AutoSys or similar batch automation tools
Log analysis capabilities and familiarity with monitoring tools such as ITRS, Elastic, or Kibana
Excellent communication skills and ability to triage issues across multiple stakeholder groups
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Nice to Have

Experience with collateral management systems such as Collin or Colline
Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
Scripting skills with PowerShell and Python
Familiarity with XVA, Risk, Treasury, or Market Risk functions
Knowledge of AI-assisted operational support tools
Foreign Exchange (FX) market experience
Experience supporting enterprise applications in hybrid or cloud environments
Strong curiosity and problem-solving mindset, with adaptability to changing priorities
