Job Title: Application Support Analyst (AS400)

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Type: FullTime

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst (AS400) to provide production support for enterprise applications running on IBM i / AS400 platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AS400 COBOL, SQL, and application support within a 24×7 environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for the Unitrax record keeping system on IBM i / POWER systems
Investigate and resolve production incidents and high-priority tickets
Create and execute ad hoc SQL queries for troubleshooting and data correction
Debug embedded SQL COBOL ILE programs
Support application releases, batch jobs, and change management activities
Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions
Coordinate with clients, offshore teams, and stakeholders
Participate in on-call support rotation and weekend support when required

 

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

AS400 / IBM i
COBOL, CLLE, SQL
Oracle SQL and ad hoc query writing
Mainframe / AS400 COBOL support
Mainframe DB2
Experience in 24×7 production support
Good to Have Skills

Mainframe Enterprise COBOL
MS SQL Server
MySQL
FundSERV experience

 

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as an Application Support Analyst
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call support
Experience supporting month-end and year-end batch processing
