Application Support Analyst II, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
2-Year Contract | Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Start Date: Targeting late September 2026
One of CDW’s clients is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to provide hands-on support for Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and related financial applications. This role will supplement the Application Services team, focusing on enterprise application support, troubleshooting, systems integration, reporting, and operational support.
Work Arrangement
Onsite 5 days/week for the first 3 months
Hybrid thereafter (2 days/week onsite)

Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Dynamics GP & Financial Application Support (Primary Focus)
Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft Dynamics GP in a production environment.
Troubleshoot application, configuration, security, user access, and integration issues.
Support core financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Assist with month-end and year-end processes, reconciliations, and root cause analysis.
Support SQL Server-related activities, including query analysis, data investigation, views, stored procedures, and reporting.
Maintain and troubleshoot GP reports, SSRS reports, and interfaces with other enterprise systems.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners on escalations and issue resolution.
Develop and maintain support documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
Corporate Application Support (Secondary)
Support additional enterprise applications as required.
Assist with upgrades, patches, testing, enhancements, and integrations.
Analyze business requirements and recommend process improvements.
Develop reports and technical documentation.
Provide user guidance and training when needed.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience supporting MS Dynamics GP in a production environment.
Strong understanding of financial systems and business processes.
5+ years of enterprise application support experience.
Strong MS SQL Server skills, including queries, views, and stored procedures.
Experience with SSRS, Dynamics GP reporting tools, and troubleshooting application integrations and complex production issues.
Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT, Finance, business users, and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Dynamics GP in a municipal, government, or public-sector environment.
Experience with enterprise application upgrades, integrations, and lifecycle management.
Knowledge of IIS and enterprise application infrastructure.
Note: Candidates with strong Microsoft Dynamics GP and financial application support experience will be given priority. Experience in municipal or public-sector environments is considered a strong asset.
