The Government of Alberta is seeking an experienced Digital Architect to join the Justice Digital Program Services team. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about designing scalable, citizen-centered digital solutions and driving enterprise architecture initiatives across multiple projects.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead the solution architecture for digital services using agile methodologies and user-centered design principles
✅ Develop and maintain the overall architectural roadmap and technical strategy
✅ Analyze existing systems and recommend innovative technical solutions and prototypes
✅ Design scalable, iterative solution architectures while assessing risks and impacts
✅ Guide implementation teams through architecture reviews and technical mentorship
✅ Review and contribute to code changes and technical tasks as needed
✅ Drive integration strategies and identify opportunities to leverage shared digital capabilities
✅ Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and presentations for technical and business stakeholders
✅ Contribute to architecture standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
🔹 Preferred Experience:
✔ Strong experience in enterprise and solution architecture
✔ Expertise in digital transformation and modern software architecture
✔ Experience with agile software development and citizen-centric service design
✔ Strong knowledge of systems integration and reusable platform components
✔ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
✔ Leadership experience mentoring development teams and guiding technical decisions
