Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Backup Administrator-(NetBackup,Commvault,TSM/Spectrum). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on backup and data protection systems within a dynamic banking environment, supporting BAU activities, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Pay rate range (CAD): $57.17/hr – $68.61/hr

Responsibilities

Identify applications in scope and extract data from business requirement documents for analysis.
Communicate effectively with application contacts and stakeholders.
Onboard clients to backup platforms, ensuring compliance with immutability standards.
Monitor backups and generate reports to verify adherence to requirements.
Clean up unnecessary backups and manage storage capacity efficiently.
Create and update runbooks, dashboards, and scorecards related to immutability.
Deploy infrastructure components as needed.
Support daily team activities and operational tasks.
Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, making informed recommendations.
Serve as a technical resource and guidance provider for complex troubleshooting.
Work independently in a senior or lead capacity, coaching and educating team members.
Review and improve procedures; collaborate with stakeholders to install, configure, upgrade, and administer business applications and systems.
Assist in capacity management by creating forecasts from metrics and analyzing performance data.
Desired Skill-Set

5+ years’ experience with Data Domain, NetBackup, Commvault, TSM/Spectrum Protect.
5+ years’ experience analyzing business requirements and translating into technical specifications.
5+ years’ experience in Data Protection environments for large organizations.
Deep expertise in Data Domain infrastructure and capacity management.
Strong data analytics skills, including creating reports and dashboards.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) with 3-4 years of experience.
Excellent negotiating and analytical skills, with experience managing difficult stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have

Experience working in Agile environments.
Familiarity with ServiceNow.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables.
