Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior BSA – Equities – EMS/Trade Surveillance. This position involves supporting data-driven and backend initiatives within the Capital Markets Equities team, working across multiple projects to deliver comprehensive data solutions and insights. The role is a replacement position suited for candidates with a strong technical background and deep knowledge of equities markets, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Define, document, and analyze data sets and data flows pertinent to trading and backend systems
Gather and validate business requirements from traders and senior stakeholders
Collaborate with data and architecture teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions
Develop clear, detailed documentation to support analytics and reporting functions
Act as a business-facing BA with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and usability
Assist in optimizing data architecture and modeling to support trading activities and reporting
Support data analysis, mapping, and validation efforts to ensure alignment with business objectives
Liaise with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and project success
Desired Skill-Set

5–10+ years of business systems analysis experience, with at least 2+ years in Equities or Capital Markets
Strong technical skills as a data-focused Business Analyst
Extensive experience working with SQL, including query writing and data analysis
Deep understanding of data concepts, definitions, mapping, and architecture principles
Intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Equities markets
Ability to ask the right questions and work collaboratively with data, architecture, and trading teams
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have

Exposure to Databricks, Oracle, and relational databases
Excellent communication skills capable of clearly articulating technical concepts
Experience working directly with traders or front-office teams
Familiarity with FIX protocol and trading data standards
