UX/UI Designer – Banking Project

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a UX/UI Designer. This position involves supporting the modernization and enhancement of web-based banking platforms, focusing on designing intuitive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces that improve client and employee experiences across multiple applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong visual and interaction design skills, a user-centered mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.36/hr – $60.43/hr

Responsibilities

Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma
Design new features and user experiences for web-based banking applications
Collaborate within established design systems to ensure consistency and scalability
Work closely with business analysts, business users, and developers throughout design and implementation
Produce comprehensive design documentation, specifications, and developer handoff assets
Advocate for usability, accessibility, and best practices in user-centered design
Balance business goals, user needs, and technical considerations to deliver effective solutions
Willing to support business analysis activities during project downtimes
Desired Skill-Set

1-3 years of experience designing for enterprise or complex web-based applications
Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, responsive design, and prototyping
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards
Excellent visual design skills, with attention to detail and consistency
Effective communication and collaboration skills within Agile cross-functional teams
Portfolio demonstrating UX/UI projects and problem-solving approaches
Nice to Have

Experience in financial services or enterprise environments
Familiarity with modern digital banking systems or fintech tools
