VMware NSX / VCF Network Routing Consultant

We have an urgent short-term consulting requirement for a VMware NSX / VCF Network Routing Consultant. This opportunity is linked to an active project involving Aruba, VMware, SimpliVity, and VCF, where our client requires senior guidance on the proper NSX and BGP routing architecture.

This role is not a general VMware admin position; we seek someone with deep NSX / VCF networking experience who can advise on routing design between:

– VMware NSX / VCF
– NSX Edge / Tier-0 Gateway
– Aruba top-of-rack switches
– Cisco core switching
– Palo Alto firewalls
– Existing AWS Outpost / Direct Connect routing patterns

The Consultant must be capable of joining customer-facing technical validation calls and providing credible design guidance.

**Required experience includes:**
– VMware NSX-T / NSX 4.x
– VMware Cloud Foundation networking
– NSX Edge design
– Tier-0 / Tier-1 Gateway architecture
– BGP peering between NSX and physical switches
– NSX Edge uplink VLAN design
– North-south routing
– Data centre routing design
– Customer-facing architecture advisory experience

**Strongly preferred qualifications:**
– Aruba CX / AOS-CX switching
– Cisco core switching
– Palo Alto firewall integration
– HCX migration experience
– AWS Outpost or AWS Direct Connect awareness
– Financial services experience

This engagement is likely to start with a technical design validation call, with the potential for follow-on implementation support. Initially, this will be remote work, but availability in the Greater Toronto Area would be beneficial.
