Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst-CFA. This position involves supporting treasury and balance sheet management functions through detailed reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to enhance the bank’s financial insights and decision-making processes.

Pay rate range (CAD): $34.49/hr – $41/39/hr

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly FTP reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct in-depth analysis to identify key drivers of FTP results and deviations.
Investigate movement trends relative to interest rate changes and external market factors.
Develop expertise in FTP reporting data and infrastructure, recommending enhancements.
Collaborate with finance and treasury teams to understand and explain trends.
Support ad hoc reporting and analytical projects to improve data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
Identify and address discrepancies between FTP-based and financial reporting net interest income.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders by articulating complex findings clearly.
Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within the team to foster continuous improvement.
Manage competing priorities to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Desired Skill-Set

Strong proficiency in Excel, with advanced data analysis skills.
Experience generating and managing reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Attention to detail with a proven work ethic.
Data analysis experience with large datasets.
Familiarity with treasury, FTP concepts, and banking products.
Ability to interpret market and interest rate trends.
Nice to Have

Experience with Tableau and Power BI.
SQL skills for data extraction.
Knowledge of North American retail banking products.
Understanding of treasury risk management principles, including market, interest rate, funding, liquidity, and capital management.
CFA designation or master’s degree in a related field.
Capital markets or macroeconomic knowledge relevant to banking
