Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Data Analyst/Capital Markets(Foreign Exchange). This position involves supporting data quality initiatives, executing remediation strategies, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant data within the enterprise. The successful candidate will leverage technical expertise and stakeholder influence to contribute to long-term data integrity and strategic objectives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $45.73/hr – $54.88/hr

Responsibilities

Lead data analysis and remediation activities across large, complex datasets to ensure data accuracy and compliance with enterprise standards
Drive data quality improvements and establish control frameworks to mitigate operational and regulatory risks
Collaborate with business, technology, and data stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Design and implement automation workflows using Python, SQL, and other tools to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness
Act as a subject matter expert for Party & Account data domains, guiding issue resolution and onboarding new data consumers
Translate business needs into data logic and rules, ensuring alignment with governance standards and downstream requirements
Support project delivery by prioritizing, executing, and tracking multiple data initiatives
Provide insights and reports to senior stakeholders on key trends, risks, and opportunities
Foster collaborative relationships across departments to influence stakeholder engagement and promote best practices
Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and promoting a high-performance culture
Desired Skill-Set

5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis and remediation within financial services or related industries
Strong understanding of capital markets, client/reference data, and corporate structures
Advanced proficiency in SQL (Dremio), Python, Databricks, Excel, and Power BI
Experience working with large datasets and implementing scalable remediation solutions
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, or master data management environments
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex data concepts to diverse audiences
Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and attention to detail
Nice to Have

Experience in operations within financial markets
Project management or Scrum experience
