■ CHANGE ADVISOR (TERM – 15 MONTHS)

CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA

Working closely with all CMPA departments, the Strategy & Organizational Transformation department leads nimble and adaptable enterprise management processes. The core functions include strategic planning and strategic issues analysis, business planning and performance management, enterprise risk management, market intelligence and research. The Change Enablement team supports departmental and organization-wide projects attending to the people side of change to ensure success of the project.

Position Overview

The Change Advisor supports the organization on corporate strategic initiatives and business transformation projects. Reporting to, and with guidance from the Senior Change Advisor, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders, the Change Advisor is responsible for creating and implementing integrated change plans for key projects and providing change enablement advice to departmental change initiatives, adhering to our Change Enablement process.

This is a key role within the Strategy & Organizational Transformation team that will support our continued modernization, developing, designing, and delivering comprehensive change and engagement programs to support business transformation efforts. The key objective of the role is to support employees and leaders in successfully transitioning and operating under new business processes and systems having participated in the development of new processes and deliverables that are clear, modern, and resonate with employees, Council, members, and stakeholders.

The Change Advisor will focus on the people side of change and transformation and will be responsible for business readiness, user readiness, change communications, and adoption. The Change Advisor will also liaise with senior leaders and executive leaders in identifying, defining, implementing, and evaluating transformational change.

This role is for someone with a strong passion for and knowledge of business change and possesses superior stakeholder engagement and communications skills.

POSITION ACTIVITIES

 

Develops and implements proactive change strategies and programs to support adoption of people, process, and technology changesCollaborates with lines of business to conduct impact analyses and assess change readinessInitiates, manages, and leads structured change enablement activitiesContributes to the development of organizational change models, frameworks, and tools to support current and future organizational change initiativesCollaborates with Communication and Learning teams to support the design, development, delivery, and management of integrated change, communications and learning activitiesContributes to the identification and evaluation of success measuresIdentifies and manages anticipated resistance, consults and coaches project teams accordinglySupports periodic environmental scanning efforts to identify trends and opportunities for business transformation and define potential business impacts/benefitsFacilitates ideation sessions to support the creative process for new transformation initiativesEngages in continuous improvement activities

Education And Experience

 

Minimum 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Business or Commerce, Organizational Development, or a related field of studyMinimum 4-6 years of relevant work experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience related to the successful delivery of full cycle organizational change management services including proven expertise in: stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, engagement/adoption, organizational culture adaptation, communication planning, learning strategy design, and organizational readinessDemonstrated business consulting and project management experience, leading and owning work stream efforts within large-scale and small-scale change effortsExperience and knowledge of organizational change principles, methodologies, and toolsDemonstrated presentation and facilitation experience at the leadership levelStrong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointOrganizational Change Management certification or designation considered an asset

POSTING DETAILS

 

Job details: 15-month Term Full-Time. Position is eligible for health/dental benefits and paid time off.Salary range: $83,700 – $111,900 – this role is classified as a level 8Location: Hybrid – Primary Remote Job. You can work from a home-based office the majority of the time within the provinces of Ontario and Québec, with regular on-site presence at the CMPA office (1-2 days per week).
