Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Collection Agent in the banking sector. This position involves engaging with customers to resolve collection matters, providing exceptional service in both French and English, and supporting the bank’s operational goals. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $23.18/hr

Responsibilities

Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist customers with collections and account inquiries
Provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service to resolve issues promptly and effectively
Engage customers to understand their financial needs and offer appropriate solutions
Document all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company policies
Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to internal banking partners as appropriate
Escalate complex or high-risk transactions to the appropriate teams
Support the achievement of team and business objectives through quality interactions and customer engagement
Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
Participate in ongoing training and process improvement initiatives
Desired Skill-Set

Fluent in French and English, with 100% comprehension (written and verbal)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient with MS Office Suite
2-4 years of customer service and/or collections experience
Previous banking or financial background is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Experience working in a call center environment
Nice to Have

Previous experience working at a banking institution
Knowledge of collections software and related computer applications
Familiarity with federal and company policies related to collections
Bilingual proficiency in additional languages (a plus)
Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
