Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate – NSF Processing. The position involves managing daily transaction volumes, performing exception management on NSF items, deceased accounts, etc., and ensuring SLA targets are consistently met. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr

Responsibilities

Manage daily transaction volumes, ensuring SLA compliance across multiple processes
Handle exception management for NSF items, closed or unfound accounts, deceased accounts, and court-ordered accounts
Conduct detailed account investigations and verify transaction details
Decide whether payments should be processed or returned based on account status and findings
Collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues when necessary
Support process improvement initiatives and adhere to audit and compliance standards
Maintain accurate records, ensure data confidentiality, and follow established procedures
Participate in daily huddles and team meetings to coordinate workload
Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Desired Skill-Set

2-4 years of banking or financial services experience
Strong transaction processing background
Proven ability to meet SLAs and handle high-volume workloads
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Knowledge of NSF processing, account maintenance, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with bank products such as payments, cash accounts, and court orders
Nice to Have

Experience with AI tools such as Copilot
Knowledge of Global and WSS platforms
Previous experience working in a back-office banking environment with cash products (loans, deposits, swaps, forwards)
