Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate-Regulatory Reporting. In this position, you will be responsible for executing and supporting moderate to high complexity EFTR regulatory reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within AML Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in regulatory reporting, data remediation, and AML processes, supporting Canada and U.S. operations in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr
Responsibilities
Perform independent reviews of EFTR data discrepancies and data incompleteness alerts.
Remediate EFTR records with accurate data updates, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Validate data accuracy through reconciliation, verification, and exception handling.
Analyze source documentation and source systems to determine reporting outcomes.
Draft and manage RFIs, obtain missing or conflicting data, and coordinate with internal partners.
Escalate operational issues, data quality gaps, or control weaknesses to appropriate stakeholders.
Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews by providing explanations and documentation.
Maintain awareness of emerging AML/EFTR regulatory requirements and assist with implementation.
Contribute to process improvements, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiency.
Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders about project status, risks, and issues.
Desired Skill-Set
1.5+ years of experience in FINTRAC EFTR regulatory reporting.
Previous experience in a corporate or financial services environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and ability to work independently.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to analyze data discrepancies and support remediation activities.
Nice to Have
Prior experience working in a regulated financial environment.
Previous experience with financial institutions.
Knowledge of AML regulations and compliance standards.
Experience with data analysis tools or systems specific to regulatory reporting.
