Python Developer – Databricks

About the job
We are seeking multiple Python developers for remote contract positions starting immediately to join an exciting project for our financial industry client. This position is 6 months to start, plus multiple long term extensions.

Responsibilities & Experience:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
3–7+ years of experience with Python, including knowledge of Panda and NumPY.
Strong experience mapping data to logic layer
Working experience with data technologies and databases, preferably in one or more of: Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle DB, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache ElasticSearch
Working experience with Web Services & API
Hands-on experience with DevOps; CI/CD (Jenkins, Git)
Advanced SQL skills for writing complex queries and data retrieval
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Banking or financial industry experience is very nice to have
