Data Engineer

🚀 We’re Hiring: Data Engineer (Contract) – Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
📍 Location: 44 King St W, Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)
📅 Duration: 7-month contract (extension possible; no conversion to full-time)
⏰ Hours: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-impact team supporting enterprise-scale data platforms at a leading Canadian financial institution. This role offers the opportunity to work on cloud-based analytics solutions, modern data engineering practices, and operational excellence initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
✅ 5–7 years of advanced SQL experience
✅ 3–4 years of Python for data pipeline development
✅ 3–4 years of Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
✅ 3–4 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
✅ Experience with dbt and modern data stack tools
Nice to Have
Data warehousing and dimensional modeling
Banking or financial services experience
Data governance knowledge
