Data Scientist

✨ HIRING – CONTRACT – HYBRID TORONTO ✨

Our top 5 banking client is looking for a Data Scientist. The duration of the contract is until October 31, 2026 with a possible extension or conversion to FTE in downtown Toronto and it’s 3-4 days/week onsite. Pay rate – $96/hr Inc. + HST.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years’ Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Analyst, with at least 5+ within Banking or Capital Calculations
2) 5+ years’ proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and performance optimization
3) 2+ years hands-on experience with Python (basic coding knowledge)
4) Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets
5) Solid grounding in statistics, data analysis, and predictive modeling

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and industry data
2) Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting
3) Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
4) Basic understanding of LLMs, AI tools e.g. CoPilot
