Engineering Manager / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Our client in Toronto is currently hiring for two permanent, full-time opportunities based in North York (hybrid model):

1. Engineering Manager
We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing team while actively contributing to development, architecture, and product delivery.

Key Highlights:

Involvement in software development, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure
Opportunity to shape engineering culture, hiring strategy, and product execution

Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience
2+ years in a leadership role
Strong player-coach mindset with hands-on coding ability
Experience with SaaS environments and startup settings (preferred)
Technical expertise in: Python, Django, React, TypeScript, AWS, CI/CD, SQL
Strong background in system design, API development, and architecture.

2. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
We are also hiring an SRE to drive platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Reliability, observability, and incident response
Automation and infrastructure management
Cloud platform performance and stability

Requirements:
3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering
Strong hands-on production support experience
Expertise in AWS and Terraform (highly preferred)
Proficiency in: AWS Fargate, CI/CD, Python, Bash, CloudWatch, Postgres, IaC
