Job Overview

The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering assigned projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution. The individual provides oversight and direction across all phases of the work, from initial planning through to completion, while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and more. Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved plans and organizational expectations.
Scope Management: Define and manage project scope to ensure all requirements are clearly understood, documented, and controlled. Identify and address scope changes in a timely manner to minimize impacts to cost and schedule.
Schedule Coordination: Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure work is properly sequenced and aligned. Monitor progress against milestones and take corrective actions where required.
Cost Management: Track project expenditures and forecasts to ensure alignment with approved budgets. Identify variances and implement mitigation strategies to control costs.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Develop and implement mitigation plans to reduce impacts and maintain project objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners. Ensure clear communication of expectations, progress, and challenges.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project updates, including status, risks, and performance metrics, to management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
P.Eng. designation (asset).
PMP certification or equivalent (asset).
4–10+ years of progressive project management experience.
Experience managing complex industrial or infrastructure projects.
Experience in regulated environments (nuclear, hydroelectric, utilities, or large infrastructure) preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of project controls, risk management, and governance processes.
High degree of professionalism and accountability. Nuclear / Operating experience is a must.
