Senior Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong Investment Risk and Capital Markets experience for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading institutional investment organization in Toronto.

**Position Details:**
– Location: 3 days Hybrid – downtown Toronto
– Contract Duration6 months with extension
– Compensation: $100/hour

**Key Responsibilities:**
– Gather and document business and functional requirements
– Support the implementation and enhancement of risk management solutions
– Collaborate with Product, Risk, Development, and QA teams
– Define user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
– Support UAT planning and execution
– Document enterprise and risk data flows
– Participate in Agile delivery initiatives and project planning

**Required Experience:**
– 6+ years as a Business Analyst / BSA / Risk Analyst / Product Owner
– Strong background in investment risk and capital markets
– Experience with:
– Market Risk
– Liquidity Risk
– Credit Risk
– VaR / Stress Testing / Option Greeks
– Financial modeling & Monte Carlo simulations
– Derivatives and institutional investment products

**Technical Skills:**
– Highly preferred experience with:
– SQL / PL-SQL
– Snowflake
– Python
– Jira
– Excel Power Pivot
– MS Visio

**Preferred Qualifications:**
– CFA, FRM, MBA, or CBAP
– Institutional investment or pension industry experience
– Experience leveraging AI tools and automation within analytics or delivery environments
