Job Description
We have an urgent requirement for a Senior IT Support professional to serve as the primary on-site IT presence (Site Lead) at our client’s Kitchener, ON location.
This resource will own all local IT support activities and act as the escalation point from the service desk, while partnering closely with infrastructure and network teams to support both day-to-day operations and project work.
This is a 6-month contract term (with possible extension); 100% on-site work in Kitchener, ON
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-site IT Site Lead and single point of contact
Own all local IT support and act as escalation from the service desk
Interface with infrastructure and network teams
Support IT projects and site operations
Perform device imaging, deployments, and troubleshooting
Conduct occasional server room tasks (power cycling, hardware swaps)
Coordinate with vendors and support site access requests
Handle light operational responsibilities beyond core IT tasks
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on IT support experience
Strong desktop, mobile, and hardware troubleshooting skills
Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN)
Experience working independently in an on-site environment
Strong communication skills and accountability
Comfortable being the sole IT resource at a location
Preferred Background:
Field Support or Site Support roles
Manufacturing IT or MSP environments
Experience supporting fast-paced warehouse or logistics operations
