Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Control Officer. This position involves providing critical project support in overseeing governance, coordination, and reporting across multiple workstreams as part of a major enterprise platform transition. The successful candidate will facilitate program artifacts, maintain integrated project plans, and manage cross-program dependencies to ensure seamless execution and executive reporting.
Pay rate range (CAD): $56.00/hr – $67.20/hr
Responsibilities
Support and maintain program artifacts, including governance documentation and project plans
Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely workstream reporting
Monitor progress and manage cross-program dependencies (“five blockers”)
Prepare comprehensive executive summaries and management reports for senior leadership
Facilitate administrative coordination, including scheduling and meeting arrangements
Track project financials, such as accruals, invoice processing, and financial forecasts
Consolidate and reconcile project data, including Work Breakdown Structures and resource allocation
Support ongoing risk and issue tracking, response planning, and decision-making processes
Ensure compliance with project control procedures and organizational standards
Desired Skill-Set
Proven experience managing program financials, including accruals, chargebacks, and financial reporting to executives
Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and experience with Jira or Power BI is a plus
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Highly collaborative team player with strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, program-driven environment
Nice to Have
Prior experience within a financial services environment
Advanced skills in MS Project, SharePoint, and Power BI
Experience working in a hybrid work environment with flexibility for in-office days
Familiarity with IT project management best practices
