Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2 days onsite; moving to 4 days in November)

End Date: September 14, 2026 (1 year contract, possibility of extension or conversion TBD)
Overview
We are seeking experienced Vendor Managers to join a leading Canadian financial institution’s Professional Services Procurement team. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategies, manage key vendor relationships, and drive value through effective supplier negotiations. This is a senior-facing position that requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and strategic sourcing expertise.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison with business executives, providing sourcing expertise and recommendations to optimize vendor strategies.
Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and risk appetite.
Lead supplier negotiations to maximize value and manage total cost of ownership.
Ensure sourcing programs, policies, and practices are well-managed, compliant, and aligned with business priorities.
Build and maintain strong executive and supplier relationships across multiple lines of business.
Support risk management and compliance activities related to sourcing and vendor governance.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Must-Have Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or procurement (preferably in financial services).
Advanced negotiation skills with a track record of managing complex contracts and IT/vendor solutions.
Strong relationship management and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior executives.
Proven expertise in supplier development, contract management, and risk mitigation.
Post-secondary education required.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Ariba, SAP, or Coupa.
Background managing top-tier vendors in a financial services environment.
