Technical Lead – Retail Banking

Job Title: Technical Lead – Retail Banking (Contract, Hybrid)
Location: Hybrid – Scarborough (2 days/month in-office)
Contract Duration: ASAP to Oct 31, 2025 (with potential for extension and conversion to FTE)

Are you a skilled Technical Lead with experience in Retail Banking?
We are seeking a Technical Lead to join a dynamic team at one of Canada’s leading banks, helping drive innovation and modernization within Retail Banking. You will play a key role in delivering critical projects within the NRT Initiative and Forms Free Teller System Applications, which focus on improving cheque scanning processes used in branches.

3+ years experience as a Technical Lead in a complex environment.
Hands-on development experience with Java, Angular, and Spring Boot (2+ years).
Familiarity with Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence for version control and collaboration.
Experience in an Agile environment.
1+ years of experience working with cloud-based applications (preferably GCP).
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to communicate solutions clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Banking industry experience is a plus.
Project management or Scrum Master experience.
Experience working with MSSQL DB.
