Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr Data Scientist/Data Engineer-AML.

Responsibilities

Conduct analytical activities related to AML transaction monitoring systems
Independently design, support, and optimize technical data management solutions for various projects
Perform data quality assessments on raw and curated data within Oracle and Azure platforms
Support customer segmentation, scenario threshold setting, and model performance monitoring
Maintain structured documentation to demonstrate compliance and audit readiness
Execute quality control procedures to review interim monitoring solutions, identify gaps, and assist in future state implementations
Collaborate with internal teams to identify improvement opportunities and provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making
Engage in activities involving large-scale datasets for data exploration and analysis
Desired Skill-Set

Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL
Advanced skills in query optimization, debugging, and automation techniques
Strong experience working with large datasets and performing data exploration
Ability to apply statistical methods and data mining tools to practical business problems
Proven experience in data-driven or data-centric projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively
Nice to Have

Experience with SAS, Informatica, Tableau, or other analytics tools
Knowledge of AML and fraud detection systems
