Software Testing Specialist, with Python

Procom is currently looking for a Software Testing Specialist, with Python experience for our client in the private sector

THIS CONTRACT HAS A TBD START DATE AND GOES FOR 12 MONTHS LATER (GREAT CHANCE OF ONGOING EXTENSIONS)
LOCATION: ONSITE (THE CLIENT IS IN THE OAKVILLE AREA)
LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
REFERENCES: 2

Required Skills & Experience

🔷 5+ years of experience in software testing or test automation
🔷3+ years of hands-on Python development experience
🔷Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols including:
Ethernet
TCP/IP
UDPa
ICMP
ARP
DNS
DHCP
🔷Experience with GitHub or Git-based version control systems
🔷Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
🔷Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
🔷Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

🔷Experience with Wi-Fi and/or cellular wireless technologies
🔷Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
🔷Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or similar defect/test management systems
🔷Experience with automated testing frameworks and environments
🔷Exposure to Android-based systems
🔷Experience using packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
🔷Embedded systems testing experience is highly desirable

Education

🔷Bachelor’s Degree required
