Senior SQL Database Administrator (Azure SQL)

🚨 We’re Hiring: Senior SQL Database Administrator (Azure SQL) – Mississauga, ON | Hybrid 🚨
We’re looking to bring an experienced SQL DBAs onboard immediately
🧠 This is NOT your typical DBA role.
You’ll be working in a modern, cloud-first environment – partnering closely with Cloud Engineering and SRE teams on Azure SQL performance, automation, and infrastructure.
🔧 Role Overview:
📍 Location: Mississauga, ON
🏠 Hybrid: 3-4 days in-office per week
💼 Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Open to Contract)
🕒 Start Date: ASAP (targeting by end of March)
✅ What You’ll Bring:
3+ years of hands-on Azure SQL (cloud) experience
7+ years with MS SQL Server administration
Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
Experience with high availability solutions (AlwaysOn, clustering, replication)
Proficiency in backup/recovery & disaster recovery strategies
Scripting with PowerShell
Bonus: Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, PostgreSQL

Based in Mississauga, Etobicoke, Downtown Toronto, Brampton, or nearby
Able to commute 30–45 minutes max to the office
Experienced collaborating with DevOps or Cloud/SRE teams
Strong communicator with problem-solving mindset
