Senior IT Planning & Financial Analyst

Do you enjoy Planning, Reporting & Analysis? Reporting to the Manager, IT Planning & Financials, the Senior IT Planning and Financial Analyst supports the forecasting, planning, reporting, and analysis of department and project financials for the IT division. You will produce financial results, perform financial analysis, and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. In addition, you will work closely with managers and project managers on an ongoing basis to forecast expenses, explain variances, and mitigate risks. You will also assist in the preparation of annual budgets, support the project intake process, and perform analysis for various strategic initiatives within the IT division.

About The Role

Financial planning and Forecasting

 

Lead the monthly forecasting exercise for the IT divisionCollaborate with IT managers and project managers as a trusted advisor to analyze budgets and forecasts, identify savings opportunities and mitigate financial risksPresent to leadership monthly financial updates including the operational and project portfolio budgets, headcount and chargeback forecasts, ad-hoc analysis, and KPI dashboards

Transformation, analysis, and process improvement

 

Drive process efficiencies, simplification, automation, and standardization across the IT division to deliver consistent and accurate expense management practicesConsolidate information from various internal and external sources, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, and deliver solutionsSupport the analysis and implementation of total cost of ownership (TCO) reportingOrganize initiatives to drive continuous improvement for operational and financial processes to create efficiencies and reduce pain points

Finance partner & Collaboration

 

Collaborate cross-functionally on new initiatives and special projectsRaise key issues and gaps and recommend mitigation and change activitiesProvide financial advice and support for strategic initiativesProduce detailed and flexible financial reporting and dashboards using various BI tools

About You

 

University Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in financial managementAble to rapidly assemble and synthesize data (quantitative and qualitative) into reports and present information in a manner that enables strategic decision makingExperience with reporting metrics and dashboards, enterprise BI Tools, variance analysis, and process improvement methodologyComputer proficiency with entire MS Office suite – advanced knowledge of Excel (Macros, functions, vlookup, pivot tables)Experience in performing process and financial analysesDemonstrated ability to work effectively with a large volume of complex data and produce the required output with a high degree of accuracyAbility to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints
