Job Posting: Senior I&IT Application Architect
Location: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Salary: 750 -1000 per day.
Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Senior I&IT Application Architect to join the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) team and play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of the province’s next-generation application integration and architecture solutions. This senior leadership position requires a highly skilled architect with deep experience in OPS enterprise architecture, expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, and the ability to lead complex integration projects across critical applications, including permit systems and compliance frameworks. Skills and Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect) are strongly preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in IT architecture and system integration.
Proven experience with OPS enterprise architecture standards, especially within the Ontario public sector.
Extensive experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure in large-scale environments.
Demonstrated ability to integrate complex permit and application systems across multiple departments.
Technical Skills:
Expert in Microsoft Azure, including security, networking, identity, data services, and monitoring.
Skilled in API development, ESB, microservices architecture, and middleware technologies.
Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, release management) and the PMO Stage Gate process in OPS.
Strong knowledge of cloud-based security practices and compliance protocols relevant to OPS.
Leadership & Collaboration Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring technical teams and influencing cross-departmental stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of bridging technical and business perspectives.
Must Have:
Demonstrated experience with OPS enterprise architecture standards within the Ontario public sector.
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
Expertise in enterprise integration (API development, ESB, microservices architecture).
Experience in system integration, particularly in complex, multi-department environments.
Previous OPS experience is essential.
Note: Data Architects will not be considered for this position.
