Senior Cloud/Data Migration Engineer

TTP is seeking a Senior Cloud/Data Migration Engineer for an immediate opportunity. This senior role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, with a preference for candidates with expertise in Financial Services, including Banking, Capital Markets, and Investments.

**Details:**
– Rate: $100/hr
– Location: Hybrid (3 days in the office, Toronto)
– Length of contract: 9 months with the possibility of renewal

**Key Skills Required:**
– Profound understanding of information systems theories and methods
– Minimum 8 years of software design/development experience, with at least 5 years as a data engineer in the financial industry
– Effective communication with both IT professionals and Capital Markets business users
– Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
– Proficiency in Python and SQL (JavaScript skills are beneficial)

**Experience with Technologies like:**
– Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Airflow/Astronomer, Stored Procedures, SSIS, DBT
– Kubernetes, Docker
– Azure, AKS
– Django, React, Flask, FastAPI (Angular and Streamlit are advantageous)
– Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira
– PowerBI expertise is beneficial

**Responsibilities Include:**
– Developing data analytics and engineering solutions such as data pipelines and ELT processes
– Migrating data assets and Python scripts to cloud platforms like Snowflake and Azure AKS
– Transitioning web applications to cloud platforms like Azure/AKS
– Familiarity with financial data providers like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P Xpressfeed
– Working in an agile environment using modern development methodologies

**Qualifications:**
– Degree in a quantitative discipline like Engineering or Computer Science
– Financial industry experience required
– Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or CFA candidacy is advantageous
