Senior Business Analyst

Our banking client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team for a 6 month contract with extension. They are onsite twice per week at their downtown location, potentially increasing to 4x per week.

– Candidates must come from Canadian banking
– Have experience with risk calculations.
– Must be located in the GTA and able to work in a hybrid environment.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 10 years of relevant IT and business industry work experience.
• At least 5+ years experience in Capital markets and financial instruments – critical for this role
• 5+ years experience in Market risk management
• Experience in project executions, agile practice for large scale software
• Strong technical analysis skills using SQL and Linux is a must.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Exposure to programming languages such as python is an asset
• Previous experience with Power BI / Tableau is nice to have
• Recent experience with Top 5 Banks / Financial institutes is highly preferred.
• CFA or FRM designation (or actively working toward one) is an asset
