Are you a Security Architect with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs), and infrastructure security? We’re looking for a strategic, detail-oriented professional to join a high-impact project with SaskPower’s Enterprise Security & Architecture team.
💡 About the Role
As a Security Specialist – Security Architect, you’ll be responsible for providing expert architectural guidance, performing cybersecurity threat assessments, and helping to shape secure, scalable cloud and on-premise environments. You’ll work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams to enhance our client’s security posture and business resilience.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Conduct cyber security Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs) across cloud and on-premise systems
Provide architectural guidance and define security requirements for various projects
Recommend and document actionable security strategies aligned with enterprise governance
Deliver detailed reports and recommendations to support executive decision-making
Contribute to the improvement of overall cybersecurity frameworks and practices
✅ Must-Have Qualifications
Proven experience in TRAs, vulnerability assessments, and security architecture
Strong background in Microsoft Azure security and architecture
CISSP, SCCP, GIAC, or equivalent security certification
6–8 years of relevant industry experience
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
⭐ Nice-to-Have
TOGAF certification or familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks

This is a contract role (12+ months) with the potential to extend
