Job Title: Security Architect – Cloud & Application Security
Location: Hybrid – 44 King West, Floor 8/16 (2 days/week)
Contract Duration: 5 Months (April – August)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (37.5 hrs/week)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join a high-visibility project in the Cloud & Application Security space. This is a 5-month contract with the potential for an extension or a full-time opportunity based on performance. The role is part of the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP), focused on designing and implementing security controls in Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement security controls in a GCP Kubernetes environment.
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security during the design and development phases.
Mentor and train team members on cloud security best practices.
Develop test cases and drive Proof of Value (POV) to completion.
Contribute to the system architecture of cloud infrastructures.
Ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-prem systems.
Evaluate existing integrations and suggest improvements.

Must-Have Skills:
10+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in Security Architecture/Integration/Implementation.
4+ years of experience with Software Security Controls and Solutioning.
3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP.
2+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, networking, and storage in GCP.
Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
Certifications & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (professional experience prioritized).
CISSP or similar security certifications are a plus.
