Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:
SAP FI Consultant with Retail Experience involves implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, AA) with specialized knowledge of retail processes like POS integration, store financials, inventory valuation, vendor rebates, and SAP IS Retail focusing on requirements gathering, solution design, integration with MM/SD, testing, and providing support in a retail context, often with S/4HANA skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct workshops to understand retail business needs (e.g., sales, inventory, pricing) and map them to SAP FI/IS-Retail functionalities.
Configuration & Design: Configure SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Treasury) and relevant IS-Retail modules (Merchandise Management, Pricing, POS).
Solution Development: Design end-to-end financial solutions for retail, covering store postings, inventory valuation, and vendor funding.
Integration: Coordinate with MM, SD, and CO teams for seamless data flow (e.g., sales orders, billing documents).Testing & Deployment:
Lead unit, integration (SIT), and user acceptance (UAT) testing.
Support: Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and manage month/year-end closing.
Documentation: Create functional specifications, process flows, and user training materials

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
SAP Modules: Deep expertise in SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Acct) & SAP IS-Retail.
Retail Processes: Strong understanding of retail financial cycles, POS integration, inventory valuation, vendor management.
Technical: Configuration, functional analysis, S/4HANA experience highly desirable.
Methodology: Experience in full SAP life cycle implementations (Blueprint, Realization, Go-Live).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS (TYPICAL)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, or related field.
7+ years of SAP FI experience, with specific retail exposure.
