Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Record-to-Report (R2R) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business areas. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, driving finance transformation initiatives, and ensuring seamless integration across modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting/finance background and 12+ years of SAP FICO implementation and support experience.
Responsibilities
Act as SME for R2R and P2P processes, providing technical and functional guidance.
Translate business requirements into SAP project deliverables and technical specifications.
Conduct AS-IS/TO-BE analysis, GAP analysis, blueprints, and functional specifications.
Work on FI integration with CO, SD, MM, and Asset Accounting.
Support SAP tax configuration, global compliance, statutory reporting, and audit.
Manage third-party system integrations (tax systems like Sabrix/OneSource, Ariba, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to deliver scalable, flexible solutions.
Work with AMS team to resolve critical operational issues impacting finance.
Own multiple initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.
12+ years SAP FICO experience with deep functional expertise.
Strong knowledge of P2P, sourcing, invoicing, inter-company procurement.
Accounting background with finance & statutory compliance knowledge (Sales & Use Tax, GST/VAT, withholding).
Expertise in third-party integrations and SAP tax configurations.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
