QA analyst – Automation

Exciting Opportunity: QA analyst – automation
Location: Scarborough, ON, Canada (Hybrid – 3 days on site)
Employment Type: Contract

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

– 7+ years of experience in software development and automated testing tools
– Ability to write complex SQL queries to validate data and workflows
– Good understanding of software testing methodologies (functional vs non-functional testing)
– Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban
– Proficiency in executing QE activities within sprint and collaborating with development and business teams for continuous improvement
– Familiarity with testing REST API and proficiency in using API testing tools like Postman and Newman
– Experience with developing a Karate automation framework
– Coding skills in technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
– Proficiency in automation frameworks with applicable scenarios
– Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
– Hands-on experience in identifying defects, minimizing steps to reproduce, and logging issues into a defect tracking tool like JIRA
– Experience working on a Billing platform – nice to have
