Our banking client is hiring a Project Manager for a 9 month contract to start with the potential to extend, located in downtown Toronto onsite 3 days per week.

Strong experience in Futures/ETD Operations across the full lifecycle and a proven track record of delivering complex system integration programs (new platform stand-up/upgrade, interface/data flow integration, and end-to-end testing) in US and Canada is highly preferred!

The rate being offered is $120/hr incorporated based on a 37.5 hour work week.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering technology-enabled change in Capital Markets / Wholesale Banking.
2) Strong working knowledge of Exchange Traded Derivatives and Futures Operations lifecycle, including impacts across middle office, collateral & margin, settlements, clearing, reconciliations, and controls.
3) Demonstrated experience leading system integration initiatives (platform stand-up/upgrade, interface delivery, upstream/downstream dependency management, data mapping, and end-to-end testing) in a regulated environment.
4) Strong understanding of regulatory and control requirements Operations must abide by in Futures and ETD business lines (e.g., governance, auditability, recordkeeping, and operational risk controls).
5) Proficiency in creating high-quality documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and operating procedures; strong communication skills with ability to present to multiple levels of leadership for review and buy-in.
6) Related business experience in Derivatives and Capital Markets with strong understanding of dependencies on Operations across functions including, but not limited to: Static Data, Middle Office, Collateral & Margin, Settlements, and Reporting.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Current project management certification/designation (PMP, Scrum Master) or equivalent practical experience.
2) Strong delivery experience using Agile/Scrum (epics, user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning) and/or hybrid Agile-Waterfall models in enterprise environments.
3) Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, MS Project (or equivalent), and MS Office Suite.
4) Experience with vendor/third-party coordination and integration testing.
