About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team in a strategic role, supporting government initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As the Program Manager, you will:
Lead the development and execution of strategic plans, ensuring program alignment with organizational goals and business priorities.
Manage program scope, schedules, deliverables, and budgets to meet targets.
Oversee stakeholder engagement, facilitate meetings, and manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
Monitor program and project costs, forecast financial needs, and ensure fiscal accountability.
Implement best practices in program and project management, promoting adherence to standards and methodologies.
Manage risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience
Strategic Planning & Management
Strong ability to think strategically and align programs to business objectives.
Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Program Management
5+ years of experience as a Program Manager or in a similar managerial role.
Experience developing and managing program scope, schedules, and deliverables.
Strong expertise in managing program budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring fiscal control.
Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
Demonstrated ability to resolve issues, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality outcomes.
General Skills
Proven experience in leading organizational change initiatives.
Expertise in performance evaluations, vendor management, and procurement.
Experience with APIs, solution integration, customer experience platforms, and journey mapping.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences, including senior executives.
Public Sector Experience
10+ years of experience working in the public sector, particularly in federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare.
Familiarity with Public Sector I&IT project methodologies and policies.
Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations.
Must-Have Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of producing program and project management artifacts aligned with strategic objectives.
Strong financial acumen in monitoring and forecasting program/project costs.
Proven experience in managing procurements, vendor relationships, and solution integrations.
Strong understanding of Ministry policy and IT project approval processes.
