About the role

As the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance Manager at RBR, you’ll lead developing and maintaining RBR’s Quality Management System, as well as leading the manufacturing engineering team to ensure process optimization for both legacy products as well as new product introductions. You will drive continuous improvement across RBR, ensuring our products and services meet established quality standards, ultimately ensuring the success of our customers.

 

What you’ll do

Develop and oversee RBR’s Quality Management SystemIntroduce new products from R&D into production, optimizing for manufacturability, scalability, and efficiencyChampion continuous improvement and quality initiatives across RBRCollaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to monitor supplier performance, qualify new sources, and support corrective actionsPartner with production, SCM, R&D, and service teams to establish KPIs, assess performance, and drive improvementsDevelop and implement standards for inspection and testing of components and assembliesDevelop and implement procedures for the disposition of defective material via material review board (MRB)Create training material and train various teams on quality assurance activitiesSupport sales and service teams with quality-related customer interactionsEnsure the accuracy and availability of quality-related data

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field5+ years of progressive technical experience in a high-tech manufacturing environmentExperience leading and managing technical teamsStrong understanding of ISO 9001 principlesExperience introducing new products from R&D into manufacturing, assessing overall manufacturability and providing feedback to R&DHands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)Proficiency in writing QA and QC policies and procedureExperience with non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and vendor useFamiliarity with PCB/PCBA design (DFM), manufacturing standards (e.g., IPC-A-610), and board-level testingStrong interpersonal and collaborative skillsAbility to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting

Nice to haves

Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Business Central (ERP)Experience with ISO 17025In-depth understanding of mechanical properties of various materials, including titanium, various polymers, and glass-reinforced resinsIPC-A-610 (or equivalent) certificationSix Sigma certification
