Job description
The ITSM Change Management Consultant will play a critical role in driving successful change initiatives across the organization. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to IT services and business operations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of ITIL frameworks, change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci), and proven experience in leading and supporting organizational change.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy aligned with business goals and ITIL best practices.
Lead and facilitate change management activities throughout the project lifecycle, including assessment, planning, execution, and closure.
Develop and deliver change management training and communication plans to stakeholders at all levels.
Manage and track change requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Conduct impact assessments to identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed changes.
Develop and maintain change management documentation, including procedures, templates, and metrics.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for change initiatives.
Monitor and analyze change management metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact change implementation.
Provide regular reporting and updates to management on the progress of change initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT service management and change management.
May be required to travel to different locations as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a change management role within an IT environment.
Strong understanding of ITIL framework and change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Project management experience a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Prosci) are highly desirable.
