We have a permanent full-time opening for an IT Systems Lead located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This in-office role operates within an office and light manufacturing environment, providing support for both administrative and production systems. The position may involve occasional off-hours work for system maintenance, upgrades, or incident response.

The IT Systems Lead will report directly to the VP/General Manager and is tasked with maintaining reliable, secure, and well-documented IT systems that support our client’s manufacturing and business operations. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, cyber security monitoring, and system administration, ensuring that technology platforms function efficiently and securely.

Key technology initiatives include supporting the ERP migration from Sage 300 to SYSPRO. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, the ability to manage multiple systems and vendors, and a proactive approach to cyber security and system reliability in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications for this role include:
– 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or systems management with exposure to cyber security operations
– Strong knowledge of Windows Server environment
– Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, identity and access management, and MFA
– Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls
– Familiarity with endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response
– Experience coordinating IT projects and working with vendors or managed service providers
– Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
– Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Assets for this role include:
– Proven experience supporting ERP implementation or migration projects, particularly with SYSPRO ERP systems
– Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment
– Security or infrastructure certifications such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, Microsoft, Cisco, or Fortinet certifications
– Experience with SIEM systems and log analysis
– Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances where applicable
