Position Overview
The IT Security Architect with cloud experience is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s security architecture, with a special emphasis on cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role ensures that all information systems—including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments—are safeguarded against current and emerging threats, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure cloud and on-prem security architecture
Set up and enforce security policies and best practices
Evaluate and recommend cloud security tools
Support infrastructure projects and cloud migrations
Manage API and application security
Perform risk assessments and handle security incidents
Work with IT, DevOps, and app teams to build secure solutions
Stay updated on new threats and technologies
Train teams and report to leadership on security posture
Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
6+ years in IT security, with 2+ years in cloud security
Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
Familiar with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS
Hands-on with firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, encryption, IAM
Experience in API security and data centre migration
Strong risk management and communication skills

Preferred Certifications
CISSP, CCSP, CISM
Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
