Job Posting: IT Project Control Officer (Hybrid)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote in Toronto or Kingston, Ontario, Canada)

Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Control Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating, planning, and executing the delivery of core project components. This role involves collaborating with Project Managers and supporting critical projects, managing project schedules, tracking budgets, and monitoring project progress.
Required Skills & Experience:
Project Coordination: 7-10 years of experience in project coordination.
Must have completed 3 related projects, with references.
Collaboration & Communication: Proven experience working with multiple teams to gather updates, track budgets, and report progress.
Risk Management & Reporting: Solid experience in risk management, developing status reports, and maintaining reporting logs.
Mainframe/Legacy Systems: Experience supporting projects related to mainframe/legacy systems, especially in critical or large-scale environments.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Planview).
Methodology Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
Organizational Skills: Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
SCRUM Experience: Experience with SCRUM methodology.
Mainframe/Legacy Systems Expertise: Experience with mainframe or legacy systems is highly desirable.
General Skills:
Analytical & Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to engage stakeholders.
Consulting Skills: Proven ability to build strong working relationships and manage client expectations.
Customer Service Orientation: Tact, diplomacy, and a client-centric approach to ensure client needs are managed effectively.
Team Player: Motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Public Sector Experience:
Previous experience working in the public sector, particularly with mainframe or legacy systems, is a plus.
