🔍 About the Role
We’re looking for a highly experienced Ingenium Consultant to support core life insurance platforms for a global insurance client. This is a remote, part-time contract with flexible working hours (with occasional EST meetings).
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Ingenium, strong insurance domain knowledge, and hands-on experience working in mainframe environments. You’ll play a key role in bridging business, development, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable system performance.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise on the Ingenium Life/Annuity Policy Administration System.
Support daily operations and troubleshooting in a mainframe production environment.
Collaborate with development and integration teams on modernization and migration efforts.
Review and enhance batch job cycles, error handling, and system performance.
Translate business needs into technical solutions aligned with insurance workflows.
🛠️ Required Skills
8+ years working with Ingenium (Life and/or Annuity platforms)
Strong understanding of insurance operations: underwriting, policy servicing, billing, and claims
Proficiency in mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS
Experience with batch processing, job control, and nightly cycles
Skilled in system analysis, debugging, and integration
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
Experience with Ingenium modernization or migration to modern platforms
⭐ Nice to Have
Exposure to other PAS platforms (ALIP, OIPA, Vantage)
Understanding of Canadian or U.S. insurance regulatory frameworks
Certifications:
LOMA (e.g., LOMA 280/290)
Mainframe Programming
CPCU, FLMI, or other insurance certifications

⏰ Work Schedule
Part-time with fluctuating hours
