🧩 Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Mainframe Systems Developer/Administrator to support the development, maintenance, and modernization of mission-critical applications on IBM Z platforms for our Banking Client based in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and z/OS. Familiarity with IBM Z Xplore or similar hands-on labs is a strong asset.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs supporting business functions.
Write and optimize JCL scripts for efficient batch processing.
Manage and interact with DB2 databases; write SQL and integrate with COBOL.
Support and troubleshoot CICS transaction processing environments.
Monitor job execution and performance using z/OS tools (e.g., TSO/ISPF, SDSF, File Manager).
Participate in modernization initiatives including API integrations and DevOps pipelines using Zowe CLI.
Ensure system security and compliance via RACF.
Document technical processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

✅ Required Skills
Proficiency in COBOL and JCL
Strong experience with z/OS and TSO/ISPF
Solid knowledge of DB2 and SQL
Familiarity with CICS for transaction processing
Understanding of mainframe tools: SORT, SDSF, File Manager
Basic knowledge of RACF security protocols

✨ Preferred Skills
Experience in mainframe modernization (e.g., APIs, cloud integration)
Familiarity with Zowe CLI and DevOps tools for IBM Z
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Experience with debugging tools like Xpediter
