Endpoint Remediation Specialist

We have a 6-month contract opportunity for an Endpoint Remediation Specialist. This position offers hybrid work, ideally requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week in Burnaby, BC.

The Endpoint Remediation Specialist will support vulnerability remediation efforts across our client’s workstation environment. This role involves close collaboration with the Service Desk and Security teams, with daily guidance from the Senior Security Analyst.

The ideal candidate should be a strong technical contributor with deep experience in Intune, Qualys, and desktop/application remediation. Key responsibilities include:

– Reducing vulnerability backlog
– Executing remediation activities
– Providing ongoing metrics to demonstrate progress over time

Qualifications include:

– 3–5+ years in Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Endpoint Engineering roles
– Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including Compliance policies, Update rings, Application deployment (Win32, LoB apps), Proactive remediations, and PowerShell-driven actions
– Experience using Qualys or similar vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Rapid7, Defender TVM)
– Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with the ability to modify, run, and create scripts for remediation
– Solid understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, workstation applications, and configuration management
– Comfort in analyzing vulnerability findings and translating them into actionable remediation steps
