DevOps/Security Engineer

Remote opportunity (Within Canada). This is a long term contract opportunity with one of our Oil & Gas client.

We’re hiring for a DevOps/Security Engineer to enhance the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based platform. In this critical role, you’ll manage CI/CD pipelines, implement security best practices, and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Automate & Optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment.
🔹 Ensure Security through assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
🔹 Manage Cloud Infrastructure (AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS).
🔹 Monitor System Performance to maintain high availability and responsiveness.
🔹 Collaborate Across Teams to integrate security best practices into development.
🔹 Support Incident Response and disaster recovery planning.
What You Bring:
✔ 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or security.
✔ Strong AWS expertise (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
✔ Containerization & Orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes).
✔ Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
✔ Deep knowledge of network, application, and data security best practices.
✔ Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
🚀 Bonus: Compliance knowledge (GDPR, HIPAA), monitoring tools expertise, and relevant certifications (AWS DevOps, CISSP).
