Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Data Reporting Analyst (SQL/SAS, Power BI) specializing in SAS and Power BI within a banking environment. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an Agile setting, supporting operational dashboards, and gaining exposure to advanced SQL and Power BI administration. This contract role is suitable for a motivated analyst eager to contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Pay rate range (CAD): $47.10/hr – $56.52/hr

Responsibilities

Manage security updates by submitting access requests and updating tables for row-level security in dashboards
Review shared inbox requests for dashboard access and user questions, providing prompt support
Execute SAS jobs and stored procedures to refresh critical data sets, validating refresh success, and communicating statuses
Schedule and perform dashboard data refreshes on the Ad Hoc server
Validate dashboards daily to ensure data refreshes are successful and address any issues
Support project migration tasks, including submitting Jira requests, loading dashboards into GitHub, and verifying published dashboards
Gather requirements by attending project meetings and compiling inputs
Create and update Jira stories in the backlog to support Agile development
Desired Skill-Set

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
Intermediate proficiency in SQL
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple requests efficiently and accurately
Knowledge of dashboard and data validation processes
Nice to Have

Banking or financial industry experience
Familiarity with SAS, GitHub, Jira
Experience with Power BI Server and administration
Exposure to application development projects within financial services
